I don't know about you, but if I am going fishing in Colorado in the winter I am going for the glory. Our water is cold enough in the summer to discourage some from wet wading, so what kind of person would go out in January? I don't know because I never see anyone else.

The people that do venture out are often rewarded with some of the best fishing of the year. I know, because I have been a fly fishing guide in the Vail Valley for over a decade. Many a happy visitor has put away the skiis for a day on the river.

Usally, I prefer to fish on the nicer days, however as you well know Mother Nature may change her course at any given moment. But wouldn't you agree that anyone dedicated enough to fish this hard deserves to catch a big fish now and again?
